Micon (now Vestas) was a wind turbine manufacturer and pioneer in the development of large-scale wind turbines. Micon merged with Nordtank, in 1997, to form NEG Micon, which became one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers at the time. The company was acquired by Vestas in 2004 and continued to develop and innovate new wind turbine technologies.
