<p>The H Bridge (Power Converter) converts input DC to a PWM signal to drive the pitch motors in GE 1.5 ESS turbines. PSI has found these units: Often cannot be repaired because of the failure mode; Ground Screw can be stripped easily; We have designed an upgrade to address these issues and field tested this upgrade on over 3,000 field installations. Because our upgrade is a form, fit and function replacement, it is incorporated into all of our repairs. PSI's Switching Driver, replaces the OEM part in our upgrades. It's design is very efficient which translates into less heat and longer MTBF's. Two parts contribute to this performance increase. Advanced Field Effect Transistors and capacitors with unique properties suited to this application. When PSI redesigned the Switching Driver care was taken to route high voltage traces to prevent shorting. Steel Inserts are used to create more durable ground lug threads.</p>
